Dubai Frame’s Building & Design

The Dubai Frame is a major tourist attraction of 2018, alongside the majestic Burj Khalifa and the Burj Al Arab. The mind behind the Frame’s design was the award-winning architect Fernando Donis who also designed 2 other prominent buildings in Dubai including:

  • Dubai’s Porsche Design Towers
  • Dubai Renaissance Tower

The Frame’s opulent decor is decorated with stainless gold cladding. This is a tribute to Dubai’s reputation as the ‘City of Gold’. Also, a honeycomb-like golden ring design on the Frame’s exterior is inspired by Expo 2020’s Expo Logo in Dubai.

Dubai Frame’s Location

According to Fernando Donis-The architect, there is a strategic reason behind Dubai Frame’s location. One of Dubai’s oldest parks-Zabeel Park is set in the middle of Dubai’s pearl-diving beginnings and glamorous urban cityscape.

The purpose of the frame gives visitors a link to a humble past and ambitious future in its megalopolis present. There’s no location that serves the purpose better than Zabeel Park.

In a similar style, sitting close to Dubai Creek, visitors can enjoy aerial views of the abras on the water, catch a distant glimpse of the Arabian Gulf amongst other such sharp details.
